Subject: genius always shines through

Actually, the sound quality of the performance is quite good, its the other noise around that is problematic. But I don't think Doughty was angry at the crowd or anything, despite his "shut the f**k up" song - we are just getting a recordng from the rear of the bar rather than the front. Still, good night for MIke, songs sound great and he is as charming as ever

Subject: Mike Doughty rules

Well Mike does a pretty darn good job as a solo act without a band. This is a pretty decent recording except that some chatty folks and noisy bartenders smashing empty bottles ruin the ambiance. The audiance just seems rude. At one point during one of Mike's songs, he shouts out to the adudience to "SHUT THE FUCK UP! If you want to talk go to another bar". (You tell them Mike!). Kudos to the person for recording and posting this despite the a**holes in the audience who thought it was social hour. Seems Fletchers needs a "no-talking" rule but that will probably happen when pigs fly.

Subject: Great show, but some noise.

M Doughty is genius as always, but there is a noticeable degree of audience noise present in this recording. Random chatter, people moving, and the sounds of bottles clinking are a bit distracting, but any M Doughty fan will still dig this show. Definitely worth a listen.
